Raheny GAA Corporate Lunch 2022

Raheny GAA held a very successful Corporate Lunch in Croke Park on Friday 13th May. Four hundred guests attended, and a substantial sum (€32k) was raised for the Club development fund. MC for the event was Billy Keane of Listowel and RTÉ fame.

In attendance was Larry McCarthy, President of the GAA and a former Raheny goalkeeper. Larry played for Raheny for many years before moving to New York where he followed a successful academic career. He also served as Chairman of the New York GAA Board.

A lively question & answer session was held. Guest celebrities were Jason McAteer of Liverpool and Ireland, Mick Galwey, Kerry football, Munster and Irish rugby, Kevin McManamon, a true Dub and Sinead Finnegan, All Ireland winner and former All Star in Ladies Football. Sinead is daughter of the late Jarlath Finnegan, a true stalwart of Raheny GAA.

Contributions also came from Alan Larkin and Ciaran Whelan where Dublin Kerry matches, and escapades were reminisced. Joe Rooney provided comedy and George Murphy gave a hearty rendering of Luke Kelly songs. Croke Park was decked in Raheny Colours for the day.

Paul Fox, Chairman Raheny GAA, would like to thank all those who attended, supported and organised this very successful event.
