Jody ‘All stops to Malahide’ McGloe. Mick ‘Kill McGinley’ Dyer. 

Stephen ‘Camogie’ Molloy. A man who has abandoned his hardman image to try to marry into the clubs royal family. (Could be seen working the bar). 

Philip ‘New Boy’ Lalor. With dedicated training this man could find a regular spot on the Junior B team. 

Shay ‘Two Medals’ McGrath. (By kind permission of Anna). The well known windsurfer and former man about town. 

Paul ‘Mini’ Monks. Holder of under 11, 12, 13 and 14 street league caps for Avondale. 

John ‘Wee Wee’ McGreevy. John is the man who has brought Junior A team to its present level. A former Palm Beach patron, John is seen at his best on club tours. 

Eamonn ‘Speedball’ Cheevers. A player whose blinding speed belies his receeding hairline and portly figure. 

Mick ‘Chairman’ Martin. The only man who can make Colm O’Doherty look like a goalkeeper.

Barry ‘Baz’ Sinnott. A well known official of the Dublin Juvenile Leagues. Barry is most at home among the kids. 

Pat ‘My Ball’ Reville. see Number 1. 

Pat ‘Podger’ Dolan. Brother of Flasher, the two are living proof that their mother never slept with a footballer. 

Brendan ‘I gave that to Eithne’ Lee. Patriarch of the clubs royal family. Brendan is proof that the clubs youth policy will work eventually. 

Gerry ‘Popcorn’ Keating. Sells crisps better than dummies, uses the in-off method to score goals. 

Christy ‘ye pig ye’ O’Connell. Has loafed more goalposts than any man alive. 

Paddy ‘Renault 30’ Fay. Could have played camogie if the operation had been a success. 

Dave ‘Texaco’ McGrath. The famous referee whose presence befitted such a great sporting occasion. 

The gentleman supplying the Rabbits Ears for ‘Two Medals’ is who made the whole thing possible, John ‘ligaments’ O’Rourke. 

John’s proof that he was a footballer finally arrived after 20 years when he recently tore knee ligaments, a true sports injury for a true sports great.
